One of the loveliest rooms EVER... The Kennedy White House Blue Room. |
Well, it would seem that I've found that designing shadowbox images is my latest illustrative love... I can't seem to stop!
Here, for your viewing pleasure, is the artwork for a scene featuring Jackie Kennedy and her famed White House restoration partner, designer Stephane Boudin. They stand in the newly restored Blue Room - a real departure from White House Blue Room's that came before. In fact, President Kennedy was worried that it wasn't blue enough! What would voters think? Was Mrs. Kennedy "Frenchifying" the White House?! Well, of course she was, but so had the earliest president's that she based much of her work on making it all historically kosher.
Enjoy and look out for some of the artwork for another of my shadowboxes - Holly Golightly and her "Breakfast at Tiffany's" apartment!
And the background for my shadowbox version... |
