Alright, that probably wasn't your "go to" answer, but I'd been thinking of trying to paint someone's portrait for a long time. Dreamy absolutely refuses to let me draw her as the results are usually FAR from satisfactory (aside from the Dapper and Dreamy couple, of course), so I had to pick a more willing subject. Since Queen Mary has been dead since 1953 and I'd recently attempted a drawing of her, she was the perfect candidate.
As you look further and see the outcome, it's important to remember that it's the trying that matters. It's the effort to expend some of those creative urges. It's not about who wins, it's about playing the game. So what if Queen Mary ends up looking more like "Lovey" (Mrs. Thurston...) Howell? In all seriousness, we can never achieve out ultimate artistic goals unless we start somewhere and keep trying.
And so here, for the first time, is Dapper's portrait of Queen Mary...

Smashing job. I think the real Queen Mary would have been delighted with this. In her dreams.

Thanks, Barbara! I appreciate it!
DeleteI wouldn't say Queen Mary was "attractive" exactly... But very stately!
